Accountant / Admin wanted (University office)
 

(1)Accounting Assistant

Duties
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
(a) performing general accounting duties for purchase payments of the University and its subsidiaries, including
but not limited to processing and making payments for invoices and claims;
(b) handling telephone and email enquiries;
(c) handling general office administration such as filing; and
(d) performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) one of the followings:
- a recognised diploma / certificate preferably in Accountancy;
- a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained”
in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include
English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, and preferably Business, Accounting & Financial
Studies / Practical Accounting for SMEs;
- five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are
obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards),
Mathematics, and preferably Principles of Accounts;
(b) good computer literacy, especially in using Microsoft Office software;
(c) a fair command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(d) good communication and interpersonal skills.

(2)Admin Assistant

Duties
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
(a) performing general duties for inventory and store management of the University and its
subsidiaries, including but not limited to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date inventory
records;
(b) planning disposal schedule and coordinating with internal and external parties for
removal/transfer/donation/dumping of surplus inventory items on a regular basis;
(c) handling telephone and email enquiries, and performing general office duties;
(d) managing the off-campus stores and monitoring the physical in/out movement of inventory; and
(e) performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegates.

Qualifications
Applicants should have:

(a) one of the following:
- a recognised diploma / certificate;
- a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary
subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and
the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; or
- five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2
if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained
from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics;
(b) good computer literacy, especially in using Microsoft Office software (including Excel and
Word);
(c) a fair command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and knowledge of Putonghua;
and
(d) good teamwork, and organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
